ABOUT US

Marine & Oceans is a quarterly magazine published by Société Nouvelle des Éditions Marine et Océans (SNEMO).

M&O is dedicated to raising general public awareness on the geopolitical, economic and environmental issues affecting the world’s oceans. Inform and explain are the watchwords of its publications that aim to advocate understanding of a milieu characterised by power, rivalry, imagination... and fragility.

While 90% of trade uses sea routes, there is more to oceans than trade. The resources they conceal are the source of new ambitions, which have the potential to become new confrontations in the future.

The fragility of the oceans has been demonstrated, and this calls for careful and informed exploitation in the interest of sustainable development.
